How long does a Saxenda pen last?

The length of time that a Saxenda® pen lasts is 6 days when you are taking the highest dose of the medication, which is 3 mg daily. Saxenda comes in a pre-filled pen and is delivered via daily self-injection. Needles aren’t included and require a separate prescription. Make sure to store your Saxenda pen correctly between uses. You start with a low dose and increase each week to reduce potential side effects of the medication.

Saxenda is an FDA-approved prescription medication for chronic weight management for adults with overweight and obesity. Learn more about how Form Health doctors prescribe Saxenda to help patients achieve their weight loss goals.
